Services Provided

The Moving Guys provides moving labor, which may or may not include loading/unloading, packing/unpacking, and in most cases, transportation of goods.

Rates and Billing

  • 2-hour minimum

  • For local moves, time starts upon arrival and ends when the job is complete

  • For long distance moves, commute and gas is factored in

  • In some cases, flat-rate pricing may be offered (must be agreed upon before the job starts)

  • Payment is due immediately upon job completion

Payment Methods

We accept:

  • Cash

  • Zelle

  • Cash App

  • Venmo

    We do not accept credit or debit cards.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Must cancel at least 24 hours in advance

  • Last-minute cancellations or no-shows may incur a $100 fee

Deposit

  • A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your moving date and time. Your move is not confirmed until the deposit has been received. The deposit will be applied toward your final balance. Cancellations or reschedules made within 72 hours of the scheduled move will result in forfeiture of the deposit.

Customer Responsibilities

  • Ensure items are packed and ready before movers arrive

  • Provide clear paths and clean areas to move through

  • Label boxes and totes

  • Do not overpack boxes or dressers

  • If a dresser is overpacked, drawers must be removed before transport

  • Notify us in advance about fragile, heavy, or unusual items

  • Have someone on-site to direct and approve the move

  • Provide adequate parking and access

Damage Policy

  • We are not liable for glass or electronics, though we will move them if requested

  • We are not liable for items we didn’t pack or pre-existing damage

  • Report any damage before we leave the site – claims made afterward may not be honored

  • If our movers are clearly negligent, we will work with you to resolve it

We Do NOT Move:

  • Firearms, ammunition, hazardous materials, or illegal items

  • Live animals or plants

  • Cash, jewelry, passports, or other high-value personal items

Right to Refuse

We reserve the right to refuse to move any item, including but not limited to:

  • Oversized or extremely heavy items

  • Sharp, flammable, or dangerous materials

  • Items deemed unsafe by our crew

Liability Disclaimer

The Moving Guys is not liable for:

  • Delays due to weather, traffic, or unforeseen circumstances

  • Damage caused by improper packing by the customer or other parties

  • Scratches or dents (unless due to extreme negligence)

  • Damage while navigating tight areas (unless due to extreme negligence)

Photo/Video Notice

We may take before/after photos for liability and marketing purposes. Let us know in writing if you’d like to opt out.

Agreement

Booking a move with The Moving Guys means you accept these terms. If you have questions, please contact us before your move. A printable copy is available on request.
